Connect Itasca is an initiative, facilitated by Itasca County, including a growing list of sponsor organizations like the Itasca Economic Development Corporation, Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, Blandin Foundation and others, to gather quality information and facilitate partnerships to stimulate investment in broadband networks that reach throughout Itasca County.

What is Connect Itasca Doing?

Itasca County The first step in this process is the implementation of a county wide broadband survey, which is a survey tool that links directly into a Geographic Information System so that we will be able to identify very specific areas where people lack the broadband services they desire.

By illuminating these market opportunities where clusters of rural residents have strong desire for broadband, we hope to attract private sector partners to invest in these areas.
